I was thirteen years old when I ran my first "trade business."

It was a cold January winter day. I picked up a regular old dirt-shovel one evening, after some heavy snowfall, and slowly trudged to my neighbors house. After knocking on his door, my voiced cracked and I demanded $20 as a fee to clean his driveway. He gave me the money and I proceeded to shovel away for 30 minutes in exchange for the $20.

BOOM.

Just like that, I exchanged my services for a fee and landed my first client. I technically, had a business.

If a thirteen year old can do it, anyone can. And that's the problem...

The barrier to entry to running your own trade business is extremely low. Anyone with a tool belt and a ladder can start their own business. This low barrier to entry is among the lowest across any other industry and is the number one reason tradespeople fail when trying to start their own business.

There is no systematized way, that currently exists, that is able to solve this problem. Until now...

Grant Cardone, billion dollar real-estate mogul and sales expert, famously said: "People buy from people they know."

If you are a trades-person, ask yourself this. What actions are you taking to make sure that people know you?

Posting on Kijiji? Leaving your business card in random stores? Having a Facebook page?

Those things are useless if you do not know how to drive PEOPLE and ATTENTION to you and your business.

Proper branding, predictable marketing, and proven sales systems are absolutely necessary to standing out in this congested market.

Without them, running a trade business becomes a gamble and a burden to you and your family's financial well being.

Trade school has failed to teach this step, and I experienced this first hand when I decided to run my first buisness at 19...

I immediately realized that there were little to no resources that I could use to start his own business. Being fortunate, I was able to tap into my network and meet with key mentors to help spearhead my launch. A year later, and thanks to the help of his mentors, I was already managing multiple crews and dominating my local market. This experience of this domination showed me how far behind most contractors (my competition at the time) really were when it came to business systems. Two years later, I came across Patrick who had already helped more than 200 contractors build six-figure businesses in record time, who had noticed a similar trend and we decided to team up to tackle this problem.

Together we launched Contracting.com, using our unique success and modern perspective on the industry.

We are on a mission to help hard working and dedicated contractors in North America to start highly profitable and modern contracting businesses that are able to quickly over take the competition and dominate the area it operates in. With our in-depth understanding of the industry’s ‘stubbornness’ for change we aim to achieve their goal by providing easily applicable strategies and a hands-on approach.

That being said, not every contractor qualifies to work with Contracting.com. We only seek to work with coachable and willing contractors to spearhead their vision of an industry wide reformation.

We have finally built our services out to solve this industry exclusive problem.
